Bio for TE Community Group
I’ve been using TextExpander for about six months as an essential tool in my work as an advanced non-professional genealogist (since 1999). I specialize in using family history and DNA research to build out complex family trees across multiple branches.

TextExpander has dramatically reduced the time I spend writing repetitive queries to DNA matches and fellow family historians. I’ve also integrated Al into my workflow, using customized prompts saved as TE snippets to streamline research and correspondence.
I’m continually exploring new ways to apply TextExpander, including:
• Standardizing source citations
• Developing templates for document transcription and correspondence
• Creating data-gathering forms for U.S./state censuses, military draft registrations, city directories, and more

I co-lead the TextExpander for Genealogy Special Interest Group (SIG), which welcomes anyone interested in genealogy and creating or sharing useful snippets. I’m excited to exchange ideas and learn from this community.
