Should Your Organization Enable Your Email Domain? 🤔

If you’re an Organization admin, you may have noticed the option to enable your company’s email domain. But what does that actually do?

Think of it as a way to help direct people with your company’s email address to the correct TextExpander Organization.

When you enable your domain:

:white_check_mark: Team members who sign up with your company email address are directed to your Organization.

:white_check_mark: It helps prevent employees from accidentally creating standalone accounts instead of joining your team.

A few important things to keep in mind:

:warning: Once your domain is enabled, users with that email domain won’t be able to create personal TextExpander accounts outside of your Organization.

:warning: If your company uses multiple TextExpander Organizations with the same email domain, enabling the domain may not be the right fit, since everyone would be routed to a single Organization.

Before enabling your domain, it’s worth taking a moment to consider how your team is set up to make sure it aligns with your organization’s workflow.

:speech_balloon: Question for the Community:
Is your team using a single TextExpander Organization, or do different departments manage their own? We’d love to hear how you’ve structured your workspace!
