We first released Snippet Activity to Enterprise plan admins earlier this year, and now it’s available to all TextExpander customers.
Snippet Activity gives you a clear view of your recent Snippet actions, making it easy to:
- See exactly what changed and when
- Revert Snippets to a previous version if something doesn’t look right
- Restore deleted Snippets with just a click
Check it out today by logging in to the TextExpander web app at app.textexpander.com and clicking on “Snippet Activity” in the left sidebar.
If you’re wondering how far back the activity goes, it varies by plan. Individual, Business, and Growth plans can see 7 days of activity and Enterprise plans have unlimited activity history.
If you’re part of a TextExpander Organization account, what you can see and do in Snippet Activity depends on the permissions you have for each Snippet Group that is shared with you:
- If you have Can Expand permission for a Snippet Group, you can see who added, edited, or deleted Snippets, and when it happened.
- If you have Can Edit or Can Manage permission, you’ll see all of that plus you can revert Snippets to a previous version or restore deleted Snippets.
As always, if you’re an account admin, you can see activity across all of the Snippet Groups shared in your Organization.
