Checkbox Formatting?

I have another one or a question of whether it is exists. Sometimes I need to have a long series of optional texts for example.

I have linked the user guide for your (drop down with model names) instrument in a link here:
__ model A instructions check box

__ model B instructions check box

__ model C instructions check box

and so on….

However there does not seem to be a good way to make it readable in both the snippet form and the expanded form. In terms of if I have say 10 models with instructions typed in thus 10 check boxes I need to either have them spaced super close together with no spacing inbetween the boxes in the snippet so that the end formatting looks ok making it hard to find the correct text that I want. Or I have to have a ton of line breaks that i then delete when I expand.

If there were some way to include spaces or line breaks that were not incorporated in the end or another solution (I previously mentioned color formatting the labels or something) that would clean it up so it is easier to use more complex snippets it would be very helpful!

Hi Amanda, I moved your question to a separate topic for better visibility. Can you share a screenshot of what the Fill-in window looks like when you expand the Snippet?

Hi @josh.centers,

Thanks for that, I am redacting things because I don’t know if I need permission to post these so it is just easier to redact but you should be able to see the point. Here is what the screenshot is and then let’s assume I pick the one just below the scroll so the 7th check box then I have a ton of line breaks to delete in the email. This also occurs with spaces on occasion when I have very detailed snippets. I suppose I could make individual snippets for each model however that makes organization harder since there are no folders I would have to scroll through so many and remember all the keystroke codes. It is a nice functionality to be able to do these complex things but it would be nice to be able to format the Snippet screen so you can easily know what you are selecting plus paste in the correct format. I also posted the alternative snippet option that will format the email correctly but the Snippet format is difficult to use you can see how just the wall of text makes it hard to pull the correct one.

Thanks, Amanda. We’re noodling on some workarounds. Would this JavaScript Snippet be a better solution? You can try if you subscribe to the Community Snippets Public Group and expand com.mi.

OOOH that looks neat I will take a look. I am on Win11. I am not super familiar with JavaScript but let me have a look and see if I can figure it out!

Hi Josh the only trouble we ran into was that we have hyperlinks to user guides in our instructions. I will have to see if I can learn some basic JavaScript and figure out how to put the weblinks in as well but it seems like it will work once i figure that part out. Thanks!
