I’m curious if any of you use Notion AI and what you use it for. I’ve largely ignored it because it seems like every product is slapping on GPT functionality and calling it a day.
I couldn’t have been more wrong! Notion AI is actually super useful for editing documents. You can tell it things like “remove every line that starts with [THESE WORDS]” or “delete every horizontal line.”
I made a video demonstrating how this works. Of course you can save your Notion AI prompts in TextExpander for easy retrieval.
I have been using Notion AI and more specifically AI Agents to help organize my notes and quickly locate notes and information related to a topic.
A recent discovery that has been a real gamechanger for me is having Notion AI identify action items in my meeting notes (in my notes database) and turning them into tasks in my tasks database and linking the two together.
I use this often enough that I have created a Text Expander snippet for this that inputs the following prompt:
”Add action items from this note to the tasks database set “Project” to the “Related Project“ and set “Note with Task” to this note”
This has been a gamechanger especially when coupled with Notion’s AI Meeting Note capabilities which is already great at identifying action items that come out of meetings.

Notion AI and AI Agents are HUGE. I have created several agents that I relegate mondane tasks to all day long so I can focus on higher level tasks. I find new ways to utilize everyday and am continually amazed.
I have an agent that process order documents, add all the items, purchase orders, invoices, tracking etc to a database within notion and then spits out three separate CSV files of the information for our legacy system while we are in transition.
Last night I uploaded a 65 page medical provider directory coverying five counties and over 400 providers. Prompted for all male, family practice, providers in my county in CSV format for analysis. Also asked for online reviews and ratings be included for each and a new page to be created with the reults. Within 10 minutes I was able to chose a PCP for my Son out of a pool of 400 with confidence in my due diligence, and if this one is not available or doesn’t work out, I have all the results to move on to #2 right in my Workspace.
I’m sure the other AI platforms will do the same, but if you use Notion, to have this capability right where you work all day, game changer!
