I am not sure if there is a way to do this. I have snippet for giving a customer a fedex tracking number however in the snippet it is just a Single Line Field option. Is there a way for me to set it up so that I can enter that tracking number and it autolinks to the FedEx tracking website for that tracking ID? Maybe with coding or something to pull up the site? (I am on a Win11 PC so no AppleScripts please as they don’t seem to work)
Hi, Amanda! I’m checking with the team to see if we can make the hyperlink more elegant, but in the meantime, I created a Snippet for you in the Community Snippets Public Group called com.fedex
. To use it, copy the tracking number to your clipboard and then expand the Snippet. It’ll look like this:
Here is your tracking number: 123456789 (https://www.fedex.com/fedextrack/?trknbr=123456789)
Hi Josh thanks! is there a way to make it so that that link works as a hyperlink? I tried it out and seems to put it in as just text… Perhaps that is more complicated since it is needs to go through the hyperlink step. I can always do it after.
Unfortunately not. I’ll pass this to the product team.
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for sharing this — adding a clickable dynamic link is a great use case, and we can see how useful it would be in other workflows too.
We’ve logged this as a feature request.
For now, the plain text workaround (which auto-links in most apps) is a good option. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback — it truly helps guide our roadmap.
