Is there a way to set up a fill in (even if I had to provide with a list of possible names to work from somehow) to tag people on teams.
For example, if I want to say @amanda please see below.
I tried this but it won’t actually tag. I usually would need to use @ and drop-down on teams to find the right last, first combo but I mean it is just linked to email address so theoretically i feel like it should be possible for me to populate a list of team members email address in order to get the tag to work but I don’t know coding enough to know what the script would need to be….?
Teams message would be
Frustratingly I can’t seem to tag myself on MS Teams to show what I would like as the end result but hopefully it is clear
We use Slack instead of Teams, but I’ve gotten this to work in Slack by adding a Tab after the @name. Try that and see if it works. If not, you can use the arrow macros to make it navigate the list.
Huh thanks for the idea. So far it is not working and in fact for some reason it doesn’t even print the text after when I add the tab which is odd. It just basically expands to only the name and cuts off the *Please see below. *
And unfortunately I can’t get it to bring up the list of names either. But MS Teams (well all of MS truly) is notoriously finicky so I did not have all that much hope. But if anyone has figured it out I would love to know!
