Dark Mode for TextExpander on Windows

With the release of TextExpander 8.4.2 for Windows, it now follows your system dark mode setting. Switch Windows to dark mode and TextExpander switches with it. No extra steps inside TextExpander.

Change your system theme, and TextExpander updates in real time, across all its windows. If you use PowerToys or another third-party theme switcher, that works too.

To change your Windows theme:

  1. Open Settings on your Windows PC.

  2. Go to Personalization > Colors.

  3. Under Choose your mode, select Dark, Light, or Custom.

  4. TextExpander will follow your selection immediately.

If you use a third-party theme switcher like PowerToys, TextExpander responds to those changes, too.

Dark mode requires Windows 10 (latest build) or Windows 11, and you need to be on TextExpander for Windows version 8.4.2+. Learn more here.

This is excellent news. Thanks for implementing. Makes it easier on the eyes especially when I am sitting in a darker room at night.
