TextExpander 8.4.3 is out, and it includes two new keyboard shortcuts that make it faster to get around the app and re-use Snippets.
Command Menu (Command+K)
Press Command+K while the app is in focus to open the Command Menu. It’s a searchable list of TextExpander commands and settings: create a new Snippet Group, open your Preferences, manage your team, and more. The commands that are shown update based on where you are in the app, so if you’re in a Snippet Group you’ll also see group-specific actions like Group Settings, Share Snippet Group, and Delete Snippet Group.
It’s a fast way to get around the app without leaving your keyboard or clicking through menus.
Repeat Last Expansion (Control+0)
Press Control+0 to re-expand the last Snippet you expanded. The best part is, any fill-ins, selected dates, copied text, etc. will expand again too so you don’t need to re-input or re-select any customizations. This shortcut is really handy when you need the same Snippet twice (or more!) in a row.
Both shortcuts are documented in the updated Keyboard Shortcuts article in the Learning Center. The Command Menu has its own article too if you want the full breakdown: Getting Around TextExpander With The Command Menu.
