Tip for Inline-Search with german keyboard (and maybe others)

Hi,

I am using english macOS with a german magic keyboard.

The slash / is on the same key with number 7, so the hotkey does not work.

Luckily I have the extended keyboard where slash is a single key on the numpad.

So the hotkey x/ works fine with the numpad.

I look for tips when using the MacBook Pro keyboard that has no numpad.

Hi, Thomas! If you go into Preferences > Hotkeys, you can change the keyboard shortcut for Inline Search to something more accessible. You might try Command-Period, which is the Inline Search shortcut in Chrome.

Thanks for the fast answer!

None of the special characters on the main keyboard work, see screenshot.

But: All german umlauts on the main keyboard work!

So I know what to change the hotkey to when I leave the house without the magic keyboard.
