Using Inline Search

As you build your Snippet Library, it can be tough to remember all your abbreviations. But you don’t have to memorize them! With Inline Search, you can easily search your Snippets by abbreviation, description, or content, and expand them right where you’re typing.

One of my favorite things about inline search is the ability to preview snippet contents. Just hover over a snippet in the results list. It’s a great way to double check before expanding. :+1:

I always use inline search to search by content – I don’t always remember the abbreviations, but I can quickly pull up the snippets I need by searching for keywords instead.

I use inline search more than I type out abbreviations for my snippets! And for those Snippet Groups where I’ve set a prefix -I’ll just search that prefix and it’ll bring up all the snippets in that group so I can even more quickly find the snippet I’m looking for.

If I’m unsure which is the right to select, I can hover my mouse over the search result and it’ll show me a preview of the content so I can be sure to select the right content
